The last time I looked at the machine pictures several weeks ago, the "V-bearing" setup was removed. I did see the long "V" rails sitting on top of the machine so maybe those could get tossed in?

I asked Burney about that a long time ago, he felt it made things easer to get the screws on tailstock. I attached two pictures of Burney's set-up. I saved a few letters (e-mails) for him as well.
