I don't know that much about cnc but if you have a mill that is cnc and does not taper couldn't it be written into the program rather than tilting the bed or is the 5th axis the turning spindle forgive my ignorance

Good luck with finding one with a fourth axis that can do a five inch 54 inch post that is not taking forever by carving the spindle. (The legacy promotional videos are still accurate from what I can see.) You can find a better price on a 3 axis machine that's used and you can put one together for much less that does a good number of things better. The only thing better would be the latest arty 58, which has a 9 inch turning diameter.
