Hi All
I am sorry I didn't want to start anything. I was just interested in what
the CNC folks thought about I wanted to do. I haven't participated much
over the years. I have proposed some add ons like a Z axis follower and a Y
axis sliding table. However, Legacy was just starting to get into CNC and
wasn't interested at the time.
I also jump in when a math oriented problem comes up. Having work in the
Space program for 18 years, math is second nature to me. However I read
every post each day. I enjoy them very much and have learn a lot from them. I
agree with Curtis everybody is entitled to their opinion. However, everybody
doesn't have to accept it. Keep up the good work and I will keep reading
every post.
Regards,
Ron

Hello Stan
I'm glad to hear you like the new Legacy CNC unit.
John started working on his Shopbot before Legacy lgot into the CNC game.

Take it with a grain of salt.
Legacy Has burned more than a few bridges in there past. John's bridge is
one of those that will not be re-built again.

I for one have some mixed feeling with the company as a hole my self. On
one side I am very Grateful to them for making my machine, It has changed my
out-look on wood working for ever.
Legacy's lack of support, (although miffed my off in the early years.) has
ended up being a God Send for me. Because of them I've meet and become
very close to a number of people here on this forum that I would have never
meet other wise.
Having said that,With many Broken promises given,Going back on there
word,or not going through with what they said that they were going to do (In
the
past.),and Having no reply's, to questions sent to the company, are a few
short comings that make it sometimes hard to work with.

I honestly believe that something Good can, come from anything. As long as
we can keep this civil. and respect others opinions. We all can learn form
the experiences.
Have a good night.

C.A.G.

I beg to disagree. I have a Legacy Arty 58 and it is a great machine. The
support is good and the most important part is training which is excellent.

I didn't read all the replys because these old farts don't know how to

First advice DON'T BUY A LEGACY CNC....THEY SUCK AS A COMPANY.
Buy a Shopbot they have excellent support and great machines. Regarding Z
space for depth of bowls you need to have the best thing to do is contact
me off forum and i can give you strategies for making any size bowl you
want with an average Z height. email me at _myxpykalix@hotmail.com_
(mailto:myxpyka...@hotmail.com)

And when i said "old farts" i had Curtis and Mike and a few others in
mind! lol
