Still looks good, anyway it’s not a mistake it’s a design modification lolo

Here is a pic of the bit if anyone wants to see

 https://www.magnate.net/v/vspfiles/photos/352-2.jpg

i was always going to again mount like I had pre fire a fly cutter in a drill
mounted in a small drill press mounted to the saddle to do different patterns
along a spiral. Using a drill press lets you use cutters that would not be
possible to use with the high rpms of a router. Also you can use sanding mops
too which will follow the spiral.

Hi Bill

The first rope beads that I made were done by the hand cranking method, "Talk
about a long rope..." ;-) Using the limit switch is much easer. I used a button
cutting bit from Magnate. (#352) , but did not go the full plung depth. (I did
not relise my mistake until I was more than half way done, and at that point, I
say keep everything uniformed. SAME IS GOOD, Even if its wrong.the eyes will
not ketch it. Most of the time.) ;-)

gota run.

Have a good day.

Pretty cool curt if we didn’t have or could not build what you have i guess its
just one turn of the cranking handle for each bead spacing. What cutter did you
use to cut the bead

Hello and Good morning.

Yes I was Showing off, Just a little bit, The rope beads are very easy to make,
It just took me a little while to figure out how to do it.

I am sending two pictures that explain how it was done, But In a Nut shell I
used the gears and pitch to make the ropes and then set up this jig to stop the
motor every 1/4" rotation. The screw turns, and once the handle hits the limit
switch it stops, where I then plung down to make a bead, then hit the over ride
on my limit switch, which advances the spindle on the next button location.

Pretty simple! Right? ;-)

Now there is some minor adjustment parts that I want to still make, I am going
to make the handle/stop adjustable so that I can fine tune the buttons spacing,

But that's it for now.

I hope this helps someone out there, next project. It is fun and easy to do.

Have a good day all.
