I have a feeling this guy might have made this machine himself just by looking at its construction and also his other machines are painted the same colour and have the same strong robust look to them as well

I agree. What I find neat about his machine is first the robust elements of his unit. What I see there should not be any play with in his slides/glides/bearings. With the double screw drive of the carriage, his movement is Rock solid. (and I have never seen a screw anything like that before.) His router is also pretty Neat ! ;-) Having said that, I agree with you about the Legacy being a much better machine, (at least for my purposes ) for all the elements you already covered. But I do find that. His Video cover quite a few elements that people here could use, like the split turning, (paper Joint) The concept of how the turnings/rope is made. and if you look at the final, you can see how he combined the turning to make a long molding... (could you imagine what I could get out of this video series, if I could understand Spanish?) ;-) For me, I see this Gentleman wood working skills and Craftsman ship , in this video offer a lot, besides entertainment (which it dose.) and I was hoping others here would enjoy it too. and perhaps see and learn something new form watching... We have a sliding tailstock for many lengths of work his seems to only do the one length.
