Very Nice Curtis

Here is yet another way to use those magnetic sheets. cut them into small pie shaped pieces about 3/4 long. Do a hole count and place the point of the pie at each hole you will be using. That way, after the first time you count, each hole will be already marked and ready for the next run.

Hello Everyone.

I know and do like to use Mikes gear indexing method, it works very well for complex/numbers of cuts. But for simple indexing.
This is another method that I like to use.
Its easy and to the point.(excuse the pun) What you see is what you get, type of method. I had these disks cut form me, I wedge them between the indexing plate and the screw that hold the plate onto the legacy's head-stock. with out any troubles you can see the holes from indexing plate, there is no counting of holes just, unlock the indexing pin and adjust the plate to the edge to the plastic stencil .

ON the indexing methods 2. I found out that the magnetic dryer vent covers do a very good job, they stick to the steel, can be locked into place and do not move unless you remove them. The best part with this is, the sheets are cheep to buy and easy to cut with a pair of scissors. (the price for these sheets were under $5.00 for the pack.) so they offer a cheap and effective method of indexing that is the same but different method. The old saying goes, "there is always more then one way to skin a cat". Here are two examples Of how to do the same thing, differently. ;-)
