well, let's try to avoid the "licensing" thing...if there was any serious money to be made here, someone in asia would already be doing it!...LOL!...and then the lawyers get involved, followed by the insurance guys with the product liability issues, etc., etc....if anything is going to come our way, it might be best if it is kept simple...name of an outsource company and a contact name, for example...if legacy made it in house, that could complicate things...I seem to remember a reference made to them having a laser cutter, and perhaps a computerized press brake and I might assume a computerized punch...but then again, that type of equipment would only be necessary to replicate the risers, cross bars, head stock and tailstock...and unless someone was considering making a complete, new machine, none of those pieces would most likely not be needed if anyone was just modifying there existing machine...as I see it, what might be needed the most are the parts that wear out(lead screw split nuts, the "top hats", gears)...after that might come aluminum rail, to extend a machines length capacity...we know where to get the acme rod, so no issues there...I think, that for as small a company as legacy was, you can still buy an older machine and the various parts will interchange with your existing machine, so long as it is of the same type...that is a huge accomplishment for any company to achieve...I have done a lot of research over some 30 years in regards to ornamental equipment, and without question, legacy is/was the best of all of them...not sure if they will ever achieve holtzapffel status, but for the mass market, they will go down as the best, by far
