Hello and Good morning MichaelYes the drive hubs are proprietary to Legacy, But
what I have found , these hubs are the best way to hold almost any idiom that I
want to turn, they are rock solid and smaller and cheaper then any other
holding system that I have found. Plus one MORE big reason why I like them. I
have the mounting hub on my lathe as well, I can switch form my Lathe back to
my Legacy with out switching anything. Uniformity is the name of the game for
me. Since I mainly do spindle (between center turning) these drive hubs work
very well for me. As as I said earelr in this topic, I own 30+ so I can do one
set-up , mount the drive hubs on my stock, and then mount and turn as many
spindles that I want. I dose not matter the size of the wood. These hubs do not
slip/move once set. For the money they are my tool of choice as far as turning
goes. ;-)
