I actually found the legacy lead screw thread (4tpi acme) too fast under vibration the z axis tended to Vibrate deeper a finer thread is better like 8 or 10 tpi . A quick easer way out is to just buy a triton router they have a threaded plunge. I guess it depends on how far you want to go sometimes very very rarely a legacy z axis can come up on ebay but you will be waiting.
