You and I have a lot in common. I too and a Navy Vet. I also work for the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA. Ann Arbor MI.) 25 yrs, now.
I fell in love with the Legacy Ornamental Mill Years ago. and have been trying
my very best to master its ability's ever since. The machine is simple enough
that almost anyone can use it, but it also complex enough that you could spend
a life time trying to master it .Its the Art est that makes the art, not the
machine.( I like to say) So along those lines of thought, Each person even
thought using the same equipment , adds there own flare/soul to the project
which is unique. We all can learn and grow... This is why we have this group.
Our purpose is to share and learn together. So you too, can teach us
Something... ;-)

Thanks for the welcome. I live just outside of Clinton which is just west of
Jackson (the State Capitol). I presently work in State Government as the
Executive Director of the Veterans’ Home Purchase Board. I am an old Navy Sea
Bee (Viet Nam Vet) and over the past 5 years have enjoyed serving the Veterans
of Mississippi with their mortgage needs. I am looking forward to what you guys
can teach me.

Where in Mississippi are you. I had family stationed in Columbus, MS several
years ago.
We visited them - and loved the "Southern Hospitality" as well as the "accents".
I also want to take this opportunity to wish you, and all the Americans in The
Group a Safe and Happy Independence Day!
(Sorry, King George III, life eventually got better here - thanks to the HUGE

I am a new member. I purchased one of the first Model 1200 sold in Mississippi.
Even after all of these years, I have not used it to its fullest. My
woodworking experience ranges from being a home builder to wood turning, steam
bending, making wood spoke wheels, furniture and restoring antique cars. But
there is always more to learn. My time is limited in the shop due to still
working full time at the age of 70. I look forward to learning from all of you.
