Yes it is indeed a very good duplicator.  I have it along with a Vega duplicator for my PM. 

Shouldn't be any spindle I can't turn right. 

Here's an order I just finished on the 4224B

Along with a door and side glass combo. qtr sawn/rift sawn WO

I know that many of our Group Members own at least one Shopsmith in addition to their Legacy Mill.

In any case, I think the lathe centers should work on both machines.  Their quality has always been very good - and these prices are good considering what you are getting.  And, like with Legacy, I have found Shopsmith's Customer Service to be very good.
