Hi Mac,To the best of my knowledge, all 1200/1800 models had bearings in them.
The model 900 and 1000/1500 had an upgrade path. To get more nerdy, the model
900 only needed the headstock while the 1000/1500 needed both the headstock and
tailstock. This is because the early models spindle location was offset and not
in the center like the newer models.Tim

you for the followup & link to the eBay posting.  Mill seems to be in
Excellent condition.  I think I may have said I felt it had never been used -
based on a variety of things I observed in the earlier posting.  That gut
feeling seems to be supported by the latest photos.  I notice that the 3-4
clamping pieces for securing the router are displayed in a photo with the dust
catching "bag" - and the pics of the Z-Axis upgrade have those clamps pieces
absent (not installed).Pretty much everything here is squeaky clean.  The Mill
is either unused or the owner is FASTIDIOUS as regards keeping it pristine!Very
nice that it has the Z-Axis Upgrade.  I also note it has what appears to be a
Bosch router installed and the Spindle/Drive end appears to be one with the
bearing set (vs Delrin?).  He has a lot in this listing.  It will make someone
a GREAT acquisition.Mac-----Original Message-----

{margin:0px;}#yiv9814327626 I just checked the eBay listing - and there have
been NO additional photos added to his posting.I have said (and will continue
to contend) that IMHO that eBay listing of the LOM is a legit one. (My gut
feeling.)I think there is no need to fret this one's "existence"!On the OTHER
hand - there IS one on eBay that is (and has been) VERY SUSPECT!  It is this
one out in Gardena, California - "Legacy CNC Ornamental wood working machine"I
suggest if someone is wanting to ferret out bogus Mill listings, they start
with this one.  I know several Members have commented on it (me included) - but
so far, no Member in the area of Gardena has been there to check it out.  If we
are lucky, Mike P. or NY Joe will make a roadtrip out there and check it out
sometime this Autumn. LoLMac-----Original Message-----

I emailed him as well recommending more pictures and
information and about him parting it out if it doesn't sell.  This is what I
got.--------------------Thank
you for the feedback. I have added more pictures like you suggested.
They were from a Legacy catalogs of accessory items that I purchased. I
chose to use catalog images because they included descriptions and
functions better than I could have provided. I didn't include pictures
of the mobility casters. I installed casters that I purchased locally. I
also made a molding table myself instead of buying one. I purchased a
set of spiral drive gears but I don't remember if they are a .25X
reduction set or a 2X gear multiplier. I will try to ID them later. I
hope this will fill in most of the information gaps that you said would
be helpful. My
plan is to list the mill for one month. I don't want to keep paying
selling fees to ebay if it doesn't sell. I've thought about what you
said about your interest in buying parts of the mill and I'm not
interested in selling just parts. I'm flexible about the price for the
complete mill system. If it doesn't sell, I will remove it from ebay and
just keep it. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and I'm finding other hobbies
that interest me for now. I decided to market the mill because I wasn't
using it as much as I was using my other tools and equipment. In fact,
I've tapered off making any woodworking projects for now. Later on, I
can always resume making things with it if the interest returns. I hope
this answers any questions that you might have had.-----------------He feels
that the pictures from the catalog are more descriptive then a picture of the
tool itself.   SteveOn Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 12:20:07 PM UTC-4, Curt

Yesterday I posted this one. but it was placed under the other e-bay 1000ex.
posting. This one has me wondering???  To me it looks to be. A military grade
case of Dis-information.  There is just enough proof that this is real. (Parts
that are shown) you would only have if you owned the machine.  like the Z axis
templates...    Only three router bits look to have been used, everything else
looks brand new.The only thing I know to be sure is, A design kit. and a set of
Plaster dogs.  (AND For Tim Z. the only set of steady rest plastic guides that
I have ever seen, out side of a catalog.)This might be a scam? or its a new
machine that was NEVER Put together. Other wise you would see pictures for the
machine not photos form the Legacy Catalog.Something to think about?  A X4 gear
package!!! ( I missed that on the first view!) When someone offer's you
EVERYTHING with out proof. the Yankee Trader Motto comes to mind.  "Buyer
Beware".C.A.G.
