Ray,
Note: What comes out from turning using a pair of Pilaster Dogs is not a "quarter round" (a quarter of a round piece of stock).
The Dogs give you a much "flatter" piece - much more like an ellipse when viewed from the ends.
I hope that helps.

I'm thinking the pilaster dogs will be good for making some of the quarter rounds for grandfather clocks.  Could make four at the same time.

Bill,
That's a useful page if someone has the P.Dogs and is not sure how they are used.
If someone looks closely at the photo of the wall in the lower left corner - they can see two pilasters installed.  These appear to be fluted and give the appearance of small "columns".  Note - they are not a "column" that's been cut vertically down the center.  They are a lot "flatter" than that.  That's basically what a pilaster is.  (Bill, I know you know all this - just sharing it in case someone is not quite sure about them.)
Thanks for sharing.

The previous line of posts was getting pretty long so I thought I would start a new one on an entry from Curt.

Curtis,  I found these "jaw couplers" in a bag of items that came with my 1200.  You had sent me some info Re; Kaman couplers which I appreciated.  As these came with my machine and some are still in the plastic I think these must be original to the legacy.  What do you think?  I noticed the Kaman had 3 prongs and these only have 2 prongs.  Is that an issue?
