Hey everyone. Here is an incert form there web site.https://www.slipit.com/all-products/index.html
C.A.G. The Full Line of SLIPIT Lubricants SLIPIT offers two basic varieties of lubricants. Our original formulation, which uses silicone, as well as a non-silicone formulations. Each is available in three forms to suit specific applications: liquid, gel and aerosol spray. SLIPIT liquids are the “workhorse” of the product line offering convenience without the need of an aerosol. The gel is applied with a brush or a cloth. It may also be applied by hand and is thixotropic: it liquefies when stirred for ease of use. The principal characteristic of a gel is that it stays precisely where it is applied so it is less messy. An aerosol is convenient to use and can be applied in precise locations with the use of the directional tube. Click on any product below to purchase on our parent site: fehr.com. It is non toxic paste with a little bit of liquid oil and becomes softer with temperature (soft year-round for So Cal weather). I can apply it with cheap brushes and due to being silicone free it doesn't cause fish eye on finishing Regardless don't put it on the piece you're cutting, just on metal tools or wood on wood jigs. It does not dry or film, (note manufacture claims it attracts less dust - due to paste wax sitting on top of oil), but as long as the gunk has a place to go it wouldn't affect operation. one quart lasts forever. you just dip a brush lightly on top of the soft oily paste and apply liberally over surface of intended travel of your tool. If it's possible to coat the rails with epoxy precisely that will be most slide-y surface. I have a legacy in the garage for few years now, bought for $300 cash including the Porter Cable Router.. haven't got to using it yet. Slip-it is what I would use on the metal contact points. I have tried some different substitutes for this but have never really found one that works quite as well. Bostik Glidecoat being one I currently use as well as Dynaglide.I have used a couple other's from misc. suppliers but to no avail. So besides through Legacy I have found 2 other suppliers that carry it. One is out of stock with the promise is "more on it's way"Promised for at least 2 months now.The other store actually has it on hand.
