So the hollow spiral you drop a 1/2” bit between the 1 1/2” rope twist spirals, ( loosing a 1/4” each side) and leaving 1” of material making the hollow twist. Just trying to figure this without using a shaper type bit….. seems the center of the gap usimf a 1/2” straight bit would be considered the same as the center of the rope twist bit which gets removed in the hollowing out process. Those Gieger twist pieces look to be 3 start, but possibly 4. Definitely interesting looking pieces of wood! All the other odds and ends are for different mountings and such you also have 4 index drive hubs for mounting your work to the mill Ok that’s about all for now if that’s all the stuff you have with your mill there is much more you didn’t get with the mill but there is enough to do quite a variety of work.
