Hey Mac, Thanks Its actually Red Alder. The finish is 3 coats of a Food Grade Butcher Block finish. It has mineral oil and a balance of Waxes in it. I'll grab the brand later. Its best applied prewarmed and applied with a soft cotton rag. It still needs to be buffed up a bit, but I had to let it soak in.
