Bill, What juice (mains?) do you run in your house/shop? Do you have 110 and 220; or only 220 like in Europe? Many "home shops" in America add 220v AC/60 cycles if they didn't already have it before outfitting their shop. What cycle do you have - 50? Or 60 - like here in America?
Thanks. Sunday's and Mondays are my weekends. But sadly, We had a storm Saturday evening, which caused a power outage for me, The power was restored appx. 6pm today. 3 hours in the shop form me over a weekend is NOT normal, And I was having withdrawal systems. (Yes people my Feet hurt! You see with out electricity the only way for me to spend my time at home is to walk our dog. We walked 10 miles today and even more yesterday.) ;-) OK (sorry guys, I don't mean to cry over spilled milk, so to speak... This weekend was Horrible! ) ;-p Today's shop time was meant to turn some bone blanks that I got ready for turning last weekend. I did one turning, which turned out pretty good, but after switching form machines I noticed that the dead center on my 200 was wearing badly. (Note: the 200 was meant to by turned by hand, the motor I use , is way more rotations then the dead center was meant to handle.) I found an old live center that I used on my pedal lathe, (see Bill web site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpAz-xgLynU ) The live center has a 1/2-24 thread that holds it onto the MT-1 shaft. knowing this I removed it form its shaft and used a fine thread bolt to mount it onto my 200. It was a simple matter of drilling out the 3/8" hole that the old dead center used for its mountings and making it 1/2" then screwing the bolt onto and in the live center. Over all this weekend was not a total lost cause. A new toy and bonding time with our puppy. ;-) Have a good night everyone. talk to you all more latter.
