Hey Tim!
I am sorry that you had some problems with your chuck at the first.
Have you tried using hot melt glue on the bowl. Just a dab to keep the bowl
form sliding?I like you MOD for the turn/rotary table.    Absolutely Awesome
Job there Tim.

 Hey Dan,
Yeah great advice for sure. I have a couple rolls of some extremely sticky
double stick tape too that really grips. May be similar to what you have. I
really like the LongWorth Chuck for the centering part of it, so yeah a little
tape and that grip it should be good.Honestly what I did would not work on our
Revo's. Kind Regards,

Nice recovery, Tim.  Ya, the Longworth chucks do not hold things tightly, even
if you try hard to torque them up.  In the case of my REVO I'm concerned about
vertical space and have wondered about face plate type holding fixtures. One
has to be careful about getting too much grip and crushing or distorting the
bowl, too.  Thin edge down is hard to grip firmly enough.  Perhaps three pieces
of tape under the perimeter combined with the Longworth would be adequate?

I was given two giant rolls of two way tape, a lifetime supply of frequent use.
It's not marked in any way but it grips like no other tape I've used so far.
I think it's flooring tape of some sort with strong PSA on both sides of a thin
but strong foam pad.  It's two inches wide, and a two inch length will hold a
block under heavy pneumatic carving pressure.  A 3" length will hold a knarly
chunk to a faceplate for lathe work. It releases easily with heat. I've never
seen anything like it.

Hey Bill,
Yeah it works real well for certain things. I will continue to work on projects
that will let me take advantage of it.

Subject: Using the Rotary Table w/LongWorth Chuck attachment

So several months ago I made this adapter to allow me to attach

my LongWorth Chuck to my Rotary table to give me a better way to

hold projects then using double stick tape or holding blocks etc...

So recently I have a bowl on my lathe that decided to go it's separate way

during turning. Once I caught up to the bowl I realized the base where I

had dovetailed to fit the chuck, had broken. So as you can see in the first
couple pics I am flatting it to be able to glue another new piece to it. Once
flattened

I glued a new base to it, and then clamped it up again and with a spiral bit

proceeded to round it and get it centered and trued again. I had to take very
light passes at first. Once it was rounded it did not grab any longer.

I really like the LongWorth addition to my Rotary table and it works well if I
make sure it's very snug. I did have a bit of trouble with it grabbing a couple
times but the rounder it got the better it worked, as I mentioned earlier. Not
a perfect way to do things but sure is another good clamping method.

I am open to questions and comments.

Kind Regards,
