Welcome to the group, Ed.  
Somehow I thought antlers and horn were different from bone because of the 
way they grow. In my (vivid) imagination I likened them to fingernails or 
perhaps even hooves on horses and cows, for example.  I'm no biologist, so 
I was wondering if that made a difference in how it behaved. In your 
experience they work (respond to cutting) very similarly.  And can be 
bent!  Interesting.  Thank you for the input.
