Well stated, Bill.
Thanks.

I had the unique experience in my life of working for an American company here
in oz years ago for over 20 years now because living in a metric country on a
daily bases I worked in both metric and imperial depending on what job I had to
make for which ever country it went to. we never converted sizes we just worked
in whatever was needed on the blue prints so with tape measures, rulers or
micrometres either in feet, inches, thousands of an inch , hundredths of a
millimetre, millimetres, centimetres or meters it was all the same to me and
still is.so don’t try and convert just think in both I guess its sort of
like being able to speak 2 different languages.

Not sure I want to try and learn that all over again. I let that out of the
brain more than 45 years ago. lol.
I remember what 19mm is and thats only because I grab a 19MM wrench sometimes
from my wrench set

to twin up with 3/4.

Tim,

I, for one, wish we had converted to the metric system a century ago!
Instead, we have been stuck with a real mixed bag of crap when it comes to
measurements - length, volume, weight, etc.
Thank you Great Britain! NOT!!! (Sorry, Brigitte!)

If you know any cabinet shop pros (other than yourself) that have at least half
a brain - they build in metric.
The math is SO MUCH EASIER!

Tim, you need to drop your pre-conceived notions/opinions and build just ONE
project using metric measurements.
You won't go back!

Yeah I am like you. I don't like the metric system so if possible avoid it like
the plague lol.

Hey one last note. For those people like me. (not good with the metric system.)
1500mm (59") Is what I used depending on which rail you buy the price range
could be $48.-$70. for two rails and bearings.

and for this 500. the 1000 (39 23/64") for $48.00 would be a cheap investment
for you Legacy. ;-)

OK! Got'a run now.

take care everyone.
