Janis,
I've been entering the information in the events section under residence as it shows me where the vaious places the family was living over the years. When I look over the events list on the indivuals main screen it shows me pretty quickly where I should be looking for the vital records for the family, especially birth records for the children.

Where do you put the household & dwelling numbers of the census?
I have been doing this:
Event: 1900 U.S. Census
Description: [Name of individual as given in that census, even if wrong]
Date: day, month and year that the data was entered by the ennumerator
Note: the census family
Then as source Ancestry.com Digital Images of U.S. Census
repository: Ancestry.com
Source Detail: Image source: Year: 1930; Census Place: Glencoe, Payne,
Oklahoma; Roll: 1925; Page: 2B; Enumeration District: 15; Image: 349.0.
Then I attach the census image.
When I put the household & dwelling (or other street info, etc) in the Notes
with the data, I don't like the info that shows in the events screen.
I know I appear to be obsessing with this, but the census data is the
backbone of our research, and I want to start cleaning up my new Legacy
database in a proper way.
Any input on the above much appreciated.

Sneak preview the all-new Yahoo.com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
