I think Legacy 4 Deluxe had the capability for creating your own
custom notes for events.  I know both 5 and 6 have it.  I do what
you're talking about a lot.  I write the custom event note/sentence as
I want it to read when printed in the various reports.  It makes more
sense.  But keep in mind that you can add the data for the other
fields surrounded by [[  ]] and they'll be there for your reference
but won't print unless you tell Legacy to print them.

then write a short narrative relative to that person.  I do not want to enter 
place, date, & description -- I want to include that in the narrative.  Is
