I find it useful, but not a total solution. Place names and states etc have changed over time. The geo database helps sort these out when it can. For that I like it. It also creates structure out of the abject mess that was my location database. Even if I don't use the location, it makes me feel guilty to ensure the locations are entered consistently and nicely.

I have found some errors in the database - generally typos. But I've only got myself to blame as I haven't passed the info back to Legacy.

Your geo database idea may be fine for those Americans who use it but for the rest of the world it is a non-starter. Personally, I would be quite happy if it suddenly disappeared.
