Go to File, file maintenance, check/repair and it should solve this problem.

I am getting the same thing as you are getting, Laura. I hope we get and
answer soon. However, I did not do a "merging", it just started to happen
exactly as you describe with the three choices, Yes No Quit.

The only way to actually add the spouse is to select No when it asks me if I
would like to try it again. Not sure what I did when I merged the file or
what selecting No is doing to my file. Does anyone know? Also, does anyone
know how I can fix this?
