I played around with entering
Census Events the way Cathy suggested – having all of the detail only in
the head of household’s event notes, and modifying the event sentences so
that a child, for example, would simply be shown as being in her father’s
household. I love the way this prints on reports – no more
repeating the census information over and over again. But, it doesn’t
work well for me for web page creation using TNG. Web pages in TNG look
like this - http://www.oucavoiles.net/getperson.php?personID=I42&tree=windy
– check out the census entries for 1880 and 1900. It does work fine
using Legacy to create Web pages, but I suspect it won’t look quite right
on my Rootsweb tree. I guess that’s the tradeoff.
