Hi Dawn,
There isn't a way to log in as individual users of the database.

What you are doing is a great idea in terms of encouraging research but enabling a more experienced researcher to review first efforts.

You may want to ensure that the name (or initials) are always entered the same way so that you can search for them.

You may also want to put this information in Privacy brackets so that it doesn't print in reports.

Another way of achieving the result would be to take advantage of Legacy's Intellishare feature. Create a copy of the database for each user with the file name including the user's name. Periodically merge these back into the Master Database and then create new databases for each user. This way you could review all entries as you do the merge of those people who have changed.

Cheers,
Cathy

I have some paper family history records from various family members that were created about 20 years ago. By looking at the handwriting, I can tell that one person wrote some information, but someone else wrote additional information. However, that distinction is lost with computers. I have teenagers in my household who do genealogy research and add their fruits to my database. Maintaining separate databases doesn't make sense, but I'd like to know if I was the researcher or it was child 1, 2, etc. The date would also be handy as a future evaluation tool. (i.e.: Knowing this child was 12 at the time vs. 18 gives me an idea of her experience when that research was done.) Is there a way to log in as individual users and then have a date & inputter stamp identify the work? For now, we're typing [name date] at the end of each citation.
