Hello Richard and Susan

As I read both your emails I realised that I do not have any events for BIRTH 
MARRIAGE or DEATH as they are already shown on the Family View screen

Therefore I have not entered any sources for that type of information.

If I create such events then I can source them  then add an ID Number such as 
Birth 01 for the birth cert
Death 01 for the Death Cert
Marr 01 for the marriage cert
then mark each document that sources that information with the appropriate 
number
