On my computer it's windows defender updating and scanning my computer at 12.00 AM (takes up 100% cpu) I just wait a couple of minutes and than other programms start working again.
For me this started after the last windows updates.

Ron,

Anything's possible!  It could be related to another program running also!
Been there, done that with freezing issues and it can be a real pain to
figure out what's going on!

Personally, I'd never leave a program open for 6-8 hours if I'm not using
it.  I've had too many freezing problems and power outages to risk files
getting corrupted!  About the only thing that remains open is my instant
messenger program.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Sherry,

Just a thought, but is it possible that this is a Windows problem rather
than Legacy's. I have recently found this happening with other programs and
am beginning to wonder if it's connected with a Windows Update.
