Dora, are you using another program to link your pages? The reason I ask is that I am not clear about your question as you mention a "home page button" then go on to say that "the program puts in full paths". What program? Legacy doesn't do this nor does an FTP program which loads a file onto the server.

Perhaps you might like to contact me off list as this seems as though it will need a detailed look to answer your points.

Subject: [LegacyUG] How can I make relative paths in the home page button when creating a web site?
Date: Sun, 26 Nov 2006 08:55:15 -0600

I want to put relative paths in the home page button when creating my web site. When I put index.html or ../index.html, the program puts complete paths in relevant to the path to the folder on my computer where I'm building the web site.

I want the web site to function properly whether I put it on my Rootsweb web site, where I'm linking all the index pages to a central web page, or on a CD to share with famly members, adn their computers won't always use the same letter for the CD drive.

Yours,
Dora Smith
