Would a published book be "verifiable"? I can verify that what I have entered and what the book says is the same. But I can't necessarily verify that the book is correct.

I also use the Verified in the place name fields when there is a dicrepency in a city name that is no longer in the original county and I have duplicate place names with different counties or states. That way when I go through and clean up the master list for locations I don't merge them or delete them by mistake and I have verified that the place existed at one time. I also put the chronology of the location in the notes field if I have to make it more clear.
