Tracy, It is necessary for you to ensure that in all cases "Incude Spouses" is checked. Otherwise in descendant reports of your husband's line, as you are not a descendant of that line, you will not appear.
It is not sexist btw as your husband will not appear in the descendant report of your line unless specified.
