Use a sharpie pen to write on the sleeve, there is usually a place for this
along the edge.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Practical File ID question
This is a rather basic question asking for suggestions.
After a document is placed in an archival safe acid free sheet protector,
what is the best way to physically attach its assigned FileID number to
it?
Sticky labels attached to the outside of the protector tend to fall off
with
age and time. Inserted inside the protector, they tend to shift in
position.
Etc.
What do archivists do? Thank you.
Jeff
