Hi Leroy,
I can't imagine producing a book based on Individual Reports - but
each to their own.
Are you collecting them all with the Publication Centre? There is the
option to add other types of pages in that.
I'm responding re your issue on the Chronology Report.
You don't have to include the General Notes in a Chronology Report.
Next to the checkbox to include the Chronology in an Individual
Report is a button labelled Chronology Options. Just uncheck the
notes there and check them for the Individual Report, if that's what
you want to do.

Forgive me if this sounds like rediscovering the wheel. I am an
amateur preparing our own family histories, and am suddenly quite
upbeat about a way that I have stumbled on to create reader-friendly
books for our relatives.
My current task is to collect individual Pdf printed reports into a
book of my wife's ancestors. I select her family file and open an
Individual Report, select "lined" then UNcheck "General Notes" from
Report Options. Next I check Include Chronology Pages from the main
panel. To avoid General Notes appearing in both the Individual
Report and the embedded Chronology Pages, I had to UNcheck General
Notes from the Individual Report; they cannot be hidden in the
Chronology Pages; at least I can't see the option to do so,
otherwise I would do reverse unchecking.
I introduce each Individual Report with inserted text pages that
say, for example, "Mother,", "Father," "Maternal Grandfather",
etc.and maybe a few comments. The result, with an image and the
chronology addition to complement General Notes, seems to me very
clean and easy-to-follow. I'm leaning this way because I've noticed
that program-generated books and some other reports have a
cluttered, reader-unfriendly look to untrained eyes (everyone in our
families), although I understand that many people would appreciate
them (I created a few myself, for the record).
If anyone can think of an even-simpler way to achieve what I'm
looking for - or spots a disadvantage- I'd be most grateful to hear about it.
