Lisa,

It is not possible to search the photo's to see to whom they are attached. Some time ago I started to work out away of doing this using Open Office Base, which would work in a similar way in Access, but other things intervened and I never got to finish it!

As far as I can see the only chance of doing this is by using one of these two programs. I'll have a go at finishing it but it will take a little time.

Thanks Richard, that is interesting but the locations are fine. What I need is to print out a list of ALL the actual images with who they are attached to.
For example this list you sent me to shows I have files in:
1.C:\Legacy\photos
2.C:\Legacy\documents

That is correct, but on some folks they have somehow gotten a reference entered twice to the same file in one of the two folders so that the same photo shows up twice when you look at that individual's photos. I need to know if the software will search for duplicates or somehow allow me to print out a list of everyone with all the referenced files for images listed so I can more readily identify duplicates. ANYTHING would be better than just trying to search through every one of some 24,000 names! I'm so irritated this other software did this! It has wreaked havoc on our database! :(
Thx!
Lisa

Quoting Richard Van Wasshnova <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Go to VIEW /MASTER LISTS / PICTURE LOCATIONS. Print list. See which
locations you set yourself. Delete the locatons set by other program.

Subject: [LegacyUG] HELP! duplicate multimedias

I'm in the process of learning Legacy, but I have a problem I'm hoping some of the experts on this group can help me with. Another software program put in duplicate entries for photos and documents (all duplicates are multimedia items) attached to the genral person or a person's fact item. They are EXACT duplicates referencing the same image, and making the image and it's description appear twice on a fact/person. :( Is there a way to have Legacy search for and consolidate/remove so that there is only one reference to each multimdedia item? If not, is there a way for me to get Legacy to give me a list of people with duplicates so I can more easily locate them. This is a MESS and I'm hoping Legacy, which is apparently a much more powerful application, can help me straighten it out.
Thx!
Lisa
