Hi Pat,

I haven't played with the Pedigree Report for some time.

It seems that if you want the ancestor colours, then you must apply them to the starting person using Tools > Apply Ancestor Colours before you go to make your Pedigree Chart.

I don't recall it working this way in the past but then I probably haven't tried to use Ancestor Colours with a Pedigree Chart.

Using Ancestor Colours means you are using Boxes. You can't have Boxes and Pictures in the same chart. Note that choosing the 4 colours results in a tick being put in the box checkbox on the Format Tab in Report Options. Unticking boxes on the Format Tab returns the checks on the Colours dialogue to None.
If you tick boxes on the Format Tab, pictures are unticked.

When you save report options they save wherever you choose them to go. If you didn't choose, you can usually find out where they are by starting to save them again. They're not saved to a .usr file. Pedigree Report Options are saved to a .rs2 file. The current options are found in the relevant .usr file in the Legacy programs folder.

You may get closer to what you want with an Ancestor Chart where you can use boxes and pictures. However, it doesn't give you as much data.

I am trying to create a pedigree report (.pdf) for my cousin:

Problems:
I have told it NOT to put boxes around individuals--but it does.

I have told it to TO INCLUDE pictures of individuals -SOMETIMES it does; sometimes it doesn't.

I have told it to print in 4 colors --EVERYTHING (except colored pictures)
is black.

The first time I set up the options I saved them (to some kind of .usr
file). When I attempted to load it I had no idea where to find it.

So I am just setting them up again just before creating the .pdf. -- but it's not following my directions very well!! Any suggestions!?
