Hi Valerie,
"If I have used the same source more than once when I print a family
group sheet with citations I get this source printed each time but with
different source numbers."
To have a source print just the once at the end of a report the text in
that source must be exactly identical in each instance. If there is
even one character in the detail that is different between one use and
the next, they will be treated as different sources.
For example:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
... these two lines may look identical at first glance, but they are
different because one has a full stop at the end and the other doesn't.
Every character, whether it is a letter, digit, space or whatever,
matters in this situation.
It can be a slow process to tidy up the sources when you didn't take
care to do this the first time around - I know, 'cos it's an on-going
project for me, LOL!!
To avoid this problem in future, use the Source Clipboard when entering
data, so the data is identical and won't result in repeats in this manner.
Hope this helps. :-)
Kind Regards,
Wendy Howard
