Thank you so much George for your clear and precise explanation without sending me to the internet which requires me to go else where from my laptop. I will look in to both of these. I find that the type of answer given by George is just the greatest as it can be printed out and then taken to you laptop for consultation.

The combined options such as Tools, View, Reports, Merge and others all are great tools to review your data, update and correct any problems. Example: 1. Click on View 2. Click on Master Lists 3. Click on Location or Source (there are also other options listed to choose from) Now you can view your entered locations or sources, edit them, merge dupes etc. Another very useful item: 1. Click on File 2. Click on File Maintenance Now you have options to check/repair, master list cleanup (great option). As always and it is suggested by Legacy during these options, please backup your file first. Glen Ballard George can correct this if I am in left field. _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Valerie Garton Sent: Sunday, November 18, 2007 12:07 AM To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] Switched over from FTM to Legacy Am I missing out on the " Legacy tools " ? I have over 23,000 names and bout 2,000 photos that I've switched over from FTM. Legacy has actually helped in that you can easily clean up your files with the Legacy tools. I am sold after over 10 years of FTM.
