Hi Lisa I always end the location of people who drowned with "At Sea" so that I can find them all more easily from the master location list. One example is my father's brother and I used the location Hofuku Maru, Subic Bay, Philippines, At Sea (Hofuku Maru was the ship on which he was being transported from Singapore to Japan)
But another example was : HMS Glorious (Scapa Flow Orkney), At Sea - so I think I need to edit them to be a bit more consistent! I have a relative whom I'm told drowned in the Sea of Japan. He was a member of the 188 Parachute Infantry WWII. Would it be correct to just put Sea of Japan in the "died in" field?
