I think you meant unless you "have" made changes, as I believe showing the
reminder is the default. That being said, I checked my settings after my
earlier reply and even though the reminder box is checked for me, the
reminder does not pop up (using current build 168) so there may be a bug.

Valerie,
Unless you have not made any changes Legacy *does ask* if you wish to back
up every time that you close down.

Thanks for your very kind time Susan.
I have never worked on them, it is just a file that I imported some time
ago and on a different computer, never thinking I would ever need them.
My mistake.
Yes I have Norton's which I have just looked at but I have now found
that it only backups up documents, contacts and e-mails.
At least I have learnt that.
It is a pity that Legacy does not ask for a backup every time you close
the program down.
Regards from Valerie in sunny Sydney.

Valerie, sorry - do you mean to say you have NO back up at all of the
DYAS family? How about one you made as you logged out after finishing
working on them for the day?
Do you possibly have an offline back-up system like Mozy.com, from where
you could restore your DYAS Legacy file? Or did you emeail your DYAS
Legacy file to someone recently? All those can be considered back-ups,
too.
If not, then I hope someone else can tell you how to delete those 800
people quickly. Susan

Valerie, check and see if you have the backup of your DYAS file before
you made the import. That might be your best bet. Otherwise I think
you would have to go in to the Index and right-click select Delete for
each of the 800 people.

I have just exported all the CULLODEN file to the DYAS file instead

NO I did not do a backup as I was only dealing with what should have
been 5 people instead of 800+.
Is there a way of removing all of those that I have just imported
please ?
