Hi Pat,
I took a look at this in my own database, and perhaps have noticed
something that may have been missed - so just in case...
In the Sources tab if I uncheck the top left box "Print source
citations" then everything else on that tab is greyed out. Is that one
box on your screen white, and therefore able to be checked? It could be
easy to miss amongst the rest.
Otherwise, Ron and Cathy have given good instructions on other steps
that you should try to remedy this problem.

Ron and all,
I was in Reports>Books/others and using the Descendant Book. That's
why I set the subject up as I did. My source block is grayed out and
I am not able to find a way to get it "ungrayed".
