Continuing with Ron's suggestion, I place the nephew as the son of Andrew adding a suffix to the nephew's name [nephew].

Valerie,

There are only two possibilities: show him as the son of Andrew with a note to say he
might not be; or enter him as an unlinked individual with a note to say he is the nephew
of "x". I suppose there is a third - don't enter him at all, though I do one of
the first two.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Nephew - don't know who the father is ?
Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2008 09:17:39 +1100

I have a family of 3 generations and a will talks about " his nephew "

The person in question mentions a brother Andrew and also ' my nephew
William ".

Can some one suggest how to add this nephew as I do not know that he is
the son of this brother ?

Regards from Valerie in sunny Sydney.
