Yes I know you can create lists by the search method but these are
static lists.
If this is not going to be possible could others suggest how they cope
with this now.
Did you mean the "Name List" or the "Index" tab? Something else?
If the former, then the display is not customisable i.e. columns can not
be added or removed. If the later then although you can customise the
columns, there are only 3 that can be sorted, and these do not include
(and are unlikely to include) a birth column.
