Did you mean the "Name List" or the "Index" tab? Something else?

If the former, then the display is not customisable i.e. columns can not

be added or removed. If the later then although you can customise the 
columns, there are only 3 that can be sorted, and these do not include 
(and are unlikely to include) a birth column.
