Surely if you put yourself in the centre you'll get the desired
results? Your father's ancestors one side and your mother's the other -
or have I misunderstood your requirements?

The original poster wants an hourglass tree but they want it to show
both ancestors and descendants of both husband and wife. I had
overlooked that point.
Legacy will make an hourglass chart but only for one person not a couple.
