Ron, On some documents where I do not have the original or they are very old and faded, like hand written letters and have become very hard to read I scan them in as PDF's and then zooming in to read them. In some cases I have printed them out as PDF's and been amazed how much easier they have been to read. I have tried scanning both ways, jpeg & PDF to see which gives me the clearer picture and then I delete the one that's not so good. Doesn't always work though, some are fuzzy & hard to read no matter what I do.
