What you describe is consistent for me. If cursor stops on a child I first get small spouse list momentarily, then the second larger box. If I then move cursor slightly within the child box the first box reappears along with the second box.

Well, I have a strange thing too - so am wondering how it is for others. I have found another thing that I didn't realise happens. When I *rest* the arrow pointer on a child in the children's list *sometimes* their spouse (or all of them, if more than one) will come up and stay up in a small box below the other larger box which comes up with the information to be able to edit eg: Name, dates and name of spouse. Where appropriate the little box has said 'Spouse: None'. On other occasions the small spouse box just flashes and disappears too quickly to be read and then on other occasions it just doesn't show itself at all. I had thought that it might be something to do with the position of the child in the list or the fact of not having a spouse but it obviously isn't that as it sometimes shows 'Spouse: None'. So far it seems to be random. Wondering how it shows for other folk.******

*****AH well, it seems as if I may have answered my own problem - I now find that there seems to be a very critical place (on the child's name) as to where to rest the pointer for the small box to remain showing; providing I find that spot it always does show the 'list' of spouses(spice?????) in the small box whereas the larger Edit box only shows the preferred spouse. Talk abt finding new things in Legacy!!
