Hi Mary - I also started to make an Event for everything I am entering other than basic vitals. I just wasn't happy with entering details under notes or other fields etc... and then not having them print out on certain reports, or in an order that didn't meet my needs. I'm the type that wants "everything" to be included on my reports, and I like it to be from birth to death order -- and this is the only way I found that works. Now my reports will show all the basic details first in a summary form, and then in a chronological order the events of a person's life (and I include everything whether others would consider it an event or not). And since I've started doing it this way, I find entering details more linear. Before I was entering something in one place and the next time, maybe entering it in notes or a totally different place, but now I enter all the Basic Personal Details and then anything else as an Event in Chronological Order with my own wording.
It works for my needs and I was surprised that someone else was doing it also! I'm moving to use named events for everything I enter, other than the basic vitals. This way, I have total control over the formatting and how they're placed in my reports. Mary From: Ronnie Subject: [LegacyUG] Sentence Wording for Nicknames/AKA Is there a way to change the sentence wording on reports for Nicknames/AKAs? I have looked in help, but cannot find it.
