As much as one might imagine that a gravestone 16 or 100 feet high was
an Event, I don't use it that way.
I wouldn't regard it as an Event, no matter how tall, but the fact of
having a gravestone is just that, a Fact, and I see no reason not to
record it as one *if one wishes*.
This is how I would record it as such:
Event/Fact Name: Gravestone
Description: 100' Obelisk
Location: Cemetery name
Notes: [A description of the monument and transcription of the
information on it.]
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been listening to what people do with the various and sundry areas of Legacy and I see
something here that I might tend to differ a tad with.
Birth is when they were born, Christening/Baptism, death, and burial are just
that.
However, when I see the "Events," I think more along the lines of starting certain schools or professions and their
respective graduations. It could include times at which the individual has travelled to distant countries or even when and
where they've lived in certain areas. Even birth's of their own children, or important parties, like the old man party my
children gave me when I turned 52. It was a memorable time.
I view the events as sort of a chronological list of the individual's life. Some people like my one daughter would even add
when her children lost teeth. <grin>

I think you get the idea....
I would think that the size of tombstones would be connected somewhere with the deaths. I think the stone photos should be
in the photos within an event of burial....
But maybe I'm missing some important things.... but I try to keep things organized so that when one reads a printout, they
would see what that individual did from birth to death.
