What exactly do you mean by "using a flashdrive to transfer my program"? Are
you talking about your data file (such as Millemaci.fdb) or the folder with
the actual program itself. If you RIGHT-click the shortcut on the desktop
and then select properties, then the Shortcut tab, what does the box for
Target say? Check the same thing on your laptop, then post the answers here.
If you go to Control Panel_Add/Remove Programs, is there more than one entry
for Legacy?

Deb,
Just wondered - I was puzzled!
If you delete the Legacy 5 from the Desktop all you are doing is deleting
the
Icon, nothing else. This is true of pretty well all programs, as very few
will
install to the Desktop. You main find that some programs use the Desktop as
storage for a set-up file from which their program is installed onto your
computer (Open Office is one example) but when the program has been
installed
even that can be deleted.

Hi Ron:
I didn't want to go back to version 5...I was just trying to clean up my
desktop and I didn't know if it would be a problem if I deleted version 5.

Deb,
I cannot understand why you might wish to go back to version 5. However, You
are correct version 7 does overwrite previous versions if it is installed in
the same folder. Furthermore, if you have run version 7 then an earlier
version
will not be able to open your files. If you haven't over written your
back-up you should be able to use File>File Restore to open in an earlier
version.
Oh, and why is it a
problem?
