Many thanks, John. You and Randolph Clark both did a nice job for us.

Rootsweb wants only middle Inital, don't think we can pass just that.

This should work for most

Pass
FirstName
Surname
Year Death if known

http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi?auth=&cj=1&nt=exact&lastname=[Surname]&start=0&firstname=[FirstName]&death=[DeathYear]&o_xid=0002370638&o_lid=0002370638

Tried searching Warren Jay Taylor who is in SSDI. Not found. Tried just Warren Taylor and found him among 268 entries. Apparently middle name is not a search parameter on WVR. Perhaps at FamilySearch.org
?

Can you manually give First and Middle on lookup.

I'm seeing FAILED if I use middle name.

Please given Name (First Middle) Last that you can use successfully on manual search and I can then provide search string.

That's not a search string, that is a URL. What the OP was asking for is the search string to create a Customised Search within Legacy's Search the Internet feature.

(I've never used the feature so I can't help.)

I tried but the Rootsweb SSDI search does not display the search string in the URL address bar. With out that you can not create the string. Apparently this one is not doable.
